The Kent Thameside Green Grid

Central and local government, and business, are investing in new homes and jobs in Kent Thameside – the urban areas of the Boroughs of Dartford and Gravesham, north of the A2.

At the same time, with funds from the Department of Communities and Local Government, the partners are investing in new and improved green space, both

within the built up area, and beyond it in the surrounding countryside, in order to enhance the natural environment for existing and new residents.

This map shows the existing Green Grid. As more green space is created, the quality of the environment in the whole area will grow. As more connections are made, better access to the green space will be established.

The Green Grid, a partnership providing over 2000 hectares of green space across Dartford and Gravesham for you to enjoy. The places numbered and listed provide public access and the green routes show the public rights of way across other areas. Please note not all greenspace shown has public access. For more detail on the place listed, please contact the organisation below. For more information on the public rights of way please refer to the Ordnance Survey Maps Explorer Maps 163 and 162. Please note this map does not show all public rights of way in the area.
